How Do I Get a Military Banner for My Veteran?

Each year, applications for the Military Banner Program open in late February or early March. The exact date and time will be announced in advance. The program is limited to 250 banners, and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once applications open, interested participants may submit an application through our online system. If you are applying for a new banner, you will be required to provide a copy of your veteran's discharge paperwork (DD Form 214 or equivalent documentation) after completing the application. The application opening date and time will be widely publicized through our website, social media channels, local newspapers, and other available communication outlets. Applications will remain open until we receive slightly more than 250 submissions. We accept a small number of additional applications to account for possible withdrawals. Once the final 250 banner placements have been confirmed, applicants who have been selected will receive an email notification with acceptance information and instructions for the next steps. The Military Banner Committee has determined that a first-come, first-served process provides the fairest opportunity for all participants. Please note: All participants, including those with banners displayed in previous years, must submit a new application each year to be considered for the program.

Meet Our Partners

The Knights of Columbus Council 10517 could not have accomplished this project without the help and support of the following businesses and government organizations. This project is an excellent example of how the Santa Fe community can come together to accomplish any goal we set our minds to.
